About the Author

I am currently a recent graduate of the University of Michigan who concentrated in Film and Writing. I have training in playwriting, screenwriting, television writing, creative nonfiction, journalism, documentary production, fiction film production, and television production. My works specialize in identity, reflexive storytelling, and social or environmental change. I am the recipient of the Hopwood Award for Drama, the 2013 National Society of Arts and Letters Award for Playwriting, a Scholastic Arts and Writing National Gold Medal, and I am a finalist for the Social Media Impact Awards. My plays have had several Ann Arbor productions, and two of my short screenplays recieved production as well. At any given time, you are likely to find me procrastinating by taking long walks through Ann Arbor or whatever source of nature I can find. I currently work as a video journalist for The University of Michigan's External Relations Department as well as Creative Voice.
