Five men. Five Relationships. One night. A black comedy on notions of manhood in the gay world.

 

Captive Barbies is a play I developed over the course of 3 years. The following materials document me grappling with rewriting the play and ultimately grappling with my own inner conflicts. Captive Barbies won a 2013 Hopwood Award for Drama and The National Society of Arts and Letters Playwriting Award.
